How to fold thongs?

Thongs are a staple for summer. Whether you’re wearing them with a swimsuit or a pair of denim shorts, thongs offer both comfort and style. However, if you wear thongs you’ve probably noticed that they’re usually packaged in bulky packaging, which tends to be a pain to store. You could fold your thongs and place them in a jewelry box or pouch, but this can become time consuming when done on a regular basis. To give you an alternative way of storing your thongs and make your life easier, we’ve created the following guide that will teach you how to fold thongs.

Fold the thong in half.

Fold the thong in half.

Cut off the excess material so that it is even on both sides.

Take the two ends, and tie them together with a piece of string or ribbon. If you use string or ribbon, make sure that it is long enough to thread through your piercing hole.

Thread the string through one end of the needle. The end of the needle should be at least ¼ inch long; this will ensure that it goes through your skin easily. You can buy needles at a sewing store or pharmacy, or you can simply use a sharpened pencil to make one yourself.

Pierce your skin with the needle by pushing it through from one side to another (as if you were sewing). This may take some practice; make sure that you don’t push too hard on your skin or else it may get bruised and swollen!

Fold the thong in half.

Lay it flat on a table and measure across the center of the elastic band. Divide that measurement in half, then cut your string to that length.

Place one end of the string under the elastic band, and then pull it through so it comes out on the other side of the elastic band. Tie both ends together in a knot.

Fold the left side of the thong over the right edge.

This is the most challenging step, so take your time. Fold the left side of the thong over the right edge. Make sure that you fold it over enough so that there are no gaps between the two layers.

Next, fold this section in half again and make a crease at one end of the folded section with your fingernail. You should now have a “V”-shaped fold in the fabric.

Now, open up the back layer of your thong and fold it down to cover up this “V”-shaped fold on both sides of your underwear. Finally, flip up your front layer once more and make sure that no part of your underwear is visible from underneath!

It’s time to start sewing.

Fold the left side of the thong over the right edge. Sew along this new fold line, backstitching at each end.

Continue sewing around the waistband, backstitching at each end. When you get back to where you started, tie off your thread and cut it close to the fabric.

Turn your thong right side out through one of the leg holes and press with an iron.

Fold the bottom of the thong over.

To make a thong, start with a pair of underwear that you don’t mind cutting up.

Take off the elastic waistband from the underwear and cut off the legs of the pantyhose. You can use any color or pattern you like.

Fold the bottom of the thong over. Measure 5 inches from where you folded it over and cut it off so that there is just enough material to make a tube of fabric between 3 and 4 inches long.

Thread your needle with some matching thread and sew up one of the sides of your tube to form an X-shape

1. Use a ruler to measure the length of the thong from top to bottom.

2. Fold the bottom of the thong over so that it is half its original length.

3. Place the folded thong on top of your head, with the fold at the back and one end hanging down over your shoulder.

4. Take a second piece of ribbon or cord and tie it through the looped end of your first piece as shown in picture 3 (the end hanging down over your shoulder).

5. Take another ribbon or cord and tie it through one side of your thong as shown in picture 4 (the side opposite to where you just tied on your other ribbon).

6. Tie on another piece of ribbon or cord as shown in picture 5 (this will be used to attach the two ends together).

Fold the thong again in half.

Fold the thong again in half.

Turn the thong over so that you can see the seam on one side and the elastic on the other.

Fold the front fabric and elastic together, then fold again.

Fold all the way down to create a small rectangle of fabric that has been folded in half twice, with the elastic sandwiched between.

Pin around the edges of your fabric “box”, using 1/4-inch (0.64 cm) pins to hold it all together.
